It’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it. Armed with rakes, shovels, and bags Ramon and Dee Dee Constante, owners of Charlotte based DoodyCalls, will be cleaning up the Fourth Ward Park Saturday, April 23rd as part of this year’s Earth Day/Community Day.
Ramon and Dee Dee Constante, who own one of two DoodyCalls locations in North Carolina, believe community outreach is as important as expanding their business. Ramon and his team will be on hand as volunteers, cleaning the park prior to the event. They will be scooping as well as providing free bags to dog owners at 8:00 am.
The company is enjoying solid growth, more than doubling their residential accounts in just one year. As a way of thanking the community they are providing their services for free prior to this event to help make the environment safer and healthier for everyone by picking up where pets ‘drop off.’
“The most responsible thing people can do for their family and the community is to pick up after their pets,” says Ramon Constante, “That’s where DoodyCalls steps in.” Ramon and Dee Dee Constante are not your typical entrepreneurs. Before starting a DoodyCalls franchise, Ramon was a Vice President and Applications Development Manager for Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company, and Dee Dee was a stay-at-home mom who dedicated most of her time to volunteering at local public schools.
“Our crews are trained in all aspects of hygienic cleanup in order to reduce any health and environmental risks,” says Ramon. “We are professionals, and take this very seriously. Our mission is to make things safer for everyone, especially families with children.”
