LESS POOP SCOOPING = MORE FUN
When I first moved to the area my wife and I spent many weekends exploring Reston, VA. Here are a few of my favorite things to do in Reston.
What to do in Reston, VA
Reston Community Center Lake Anne
1609-A Washington Plaza N, Reston, VA 20190
This may not seem like an exciting destination at first but give it a chance! This community center is often overlooked but it shouldn’t be. They host a variety of different cultural events including music, dance, speakers, etc. We saw a great Peruvian pan flute performance there. At the time of writing this article they had events that included Shakespeare, The Nutcracker, holiday performances, etc. The line up is always changing but I included the link above to help you quickly see what’s happening now and in the near future.
Where to eat in Reston, VA
Enatye Ethiopian Restaurant
275 Sunset Park Dr, Herndon, VA 20170
I have fun learning about different cultures and trying new foods is one of my favorite ways to learn about different cultures. Exploring a Hutong in Beijing looking for the perfect dumplings (thank you Google Translate) and stopping by a roadside stand in Tanzania for the best grilled chicken ever are some of my favorite memories.
I haven’t been to Ethiopia but I have made Ethiopian food at home many times. Every time I cook Ethiopian food though the kitchen winds up looking like something blew up!
Enatye Ethiopian Restaurant is located behind a small commercial building. The restaurant is small but warm and comfortable. The people are nice, the prices are reasonable, and the food is great! They have all the dishes you might try to make at home like Doro Wat and some you may have never heard of before. And you will feel good about giving the owners your business.
