  • Parks and Recreation Laws - Pick up After Your Pup! It is your responsibility to “pick up” after your dog and immediately dispose of the waste properly.

Pet Waste Issues

  • Questions & Answers About Disposing of Your Dog's Waste - Not local, but a great site for answers. For example:

    Q. Doesn't dog poop make good fertilizer?
    A. Dog poop contains bacteria from your dog's digestive system that can be passed along to plants. A person can become ill by eating fruits or vegetables from a plant "fertilized" with dog poop. Don't use your dog's poop as fertilizer!
  • San Francisco Looking to the Future Put Poop to Work - Good article on converting animal waste into fuel. We are communicating with Nor Cal Waste Systems to identify how we at DoodyCalls can help. Recycling dog waste is our ultimate goal!
